Bio

Dr. Vinitha completed her Bachelor’s degree in microbiology from St. Aloysius College, India, and then pursued her Master’s degree in Biosciences from Mangalore University, India. She further obtained her Ph.D. in Cancer therapeutics from Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on synthesizing drug-loaded liposomal nanoformulations in targeting malignant glioma. After her Ph.D. she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Mayo Clinic, where she worked on investigating the role of mesenchymal stem cell-based therapies to target glioblastoma. She joined the NanoBio Lab in January 2025, and her study focuses on developing biodegradable drug delivery solutions for breast and ovarian cancer.
